INTRO TO
JKA BUDO TRAVEL

We, the Japan Karate Association, were taught karate by Gichin Funakoshi Sensei, the founder of the style, and have worked to promote and develop budo karate from Japan to the world. And Funakoshi Sensei’s values as a warrior and karate principles are the same as those of the traditional karate and kobujutsu teachers that have been passed down from generation to generation in Okinawa to this day.

Last year marked the 100th anniversary of the first time Grand Master Funakoshi performed Okinawan Kata on mainland Japan and began promoting it there. On this occasion, this tour was created in partnership with Ageshio Japan Co., Ltd., a travel agency specializing in Okinawa karate.
