Dear Members of the Jundokan,
Greetings to all, and I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. As Jundokan celebrates its 70th anniversary, I extend my heartfelt gratitude and offer my greetings.
Founded by Master Eiichi Miyazato in 1953, Jundokan carries on the legacy of Okinawa Goju-ryu Karate. Through decades of practicing traditional karate, we have grown together, faced challenges, and walked the path while upholding the principles of our dojo.
Taking over as the director in 1999, I have been able to reach this significant milestone thanks to the dedication, patience, and solidarity of our unwavering members. I express deep gratitude to each and every member who has contributed to the history of Jundo-kan.
In November 2024, we will celebrate this special occasion with the 70th-anniversary commemorative events. Beyond just marking a milestone in history, we plan various events and seminars to pave the way for the future of Jundo-kan and its members. We sincerely look forward to your participation.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Director,
Yoshihiro Miyazato

In the hope of furthering the development of Jundo-kan and its members, we will be organizing the 70th-anniversary commemorative events from November 13th to 17th. These events will encompass five technical seminars, a demonstration, promotion examinations, and a social gathering.
Furthermore, with the support of Ageshio Japan, the travel agency acting as the event secretariat in Okinawa, we are delighted to offer special optional programs for Jundo-kan members. These include three special technical seminars on “Application and Analysis of Kata Bunkai Kumite” led by the Chief Instructor of Jundo-kan Hombu Dojo. Additionally, we provide a Karate History Tour, featuring visits to landmarks associated with Goju-ryu, paying respects at the graves of Master Chojun Miyagi and Master Eiichi Miyazato, and an experience of Ryukyu Kobudo. When participating in this event, we encourage you to extend your stay a bit to not only focus on karate but also enjoy the history, culture, cuisine, and nature of Okinawa.
The use of the dojo will be scheduled separately for each branch.
If you wish to engage in self-practice at the dojo, please notify us in advance.
