Kiyohide Shinjo Sensei, who was born on November 3, 1951, is a magnificent man who is said to be one of the strongest karateka in Okinawa. Three generations of prestigious karatekas have appeared one after the other: 1st generation Seiryo Shinjo (1908-1976), 2nd generation Shinyu Shinjo (1929-1981), and 3rd generation Kiyohide Shinjo. The Kenyukai, which started out as a dojo of about 50 square meters, currently has about 200 branch dojos overseas.
